Rob Dircks is the Audible bestselling author of Where the Hell is Tesla?, The Wrong Unit, Don't Touch the Blue Stuff!, and he's a member of SFWA (Science Fiction & Fantasy Writers of America). His prior work includes the anti-self-help book Unleash the Sloth! 75 Ways to Reach Your Maximum Potential By Doing Less, an illustrated children's book with his brother Dave, Alphabert! An A-B-C Adventure!, and a drawerful of screenplays and short stories. Some of these sci-fi short stories appear on Rob's original audio short story podcast Listen To The Signal, also narrated by the author.
Rob is a big fan of classic science fiction, and sci-fi conspiracy theories (not to believe in them, just for entertainment.) When not writing, he writes and designs for the award-winning ad agency he owns with his brother (appropriately called Dircks Associates). Otherwise, he generally engages in what he calls "sampling": video production, audio production, app development, comics/cartooning, photography, guitar, reading, cooking. (Note the absence of the phrases "going to the gym" and "running iron-man triathalons.") He lives in New York with his wife and two kids. You can get in touch at robdircks.com.
Rob and Goldfinch Publishing
Rob's also the owner of Goldfinch Publishing. From him: "After independently publishing my first two books, I fell in love with not only writing, but the new process of publishing. As a copywriter, designer, and developer for over twenty years, I realized I had some skills that might be able to help other authors. So in addition to hawking my own books (feel free to buy them here), I'll be editing, producing, and promoting the works of other talented authors as well here on this site. My past? I've been many things - author, advertising agency owner, aspiring screenwriter, stock video producer, iPhone app developer, photographer, and more. I was even a Sears baby photographer way back in college. (If I never see another red velvet baby Christmas dress, that'll be just fine.) Feel free to reach out to me on the general Contact Us page, through the Goldfinch SELECT submission process, or with a request for information on paid services over at Goldfinch A LA CARTE."
